Weekly and Quarterly Feedback

I have set an OKR for this quarter to provide feedback to my direct reports on a weekly basis. At first, I was a bit uncomfortable, but now it is a part of our 1:1s and I always try to have something good or bad each week. And I see the benefits already.

The second key result was to provide a quarter summary of the feedback. For that, I have prepared a simple structure

Quarterly summary (what we talked about – recap, just copy and paste points from 1:1s)

My summary (highlights and insights)

  • You are good at
  • Progress observed
  • To still work on

Simple but powerful.
