There is a real issue of prejudice against humanities in IT and among engineering students. It is something that even I am inclined to, but I am trying to defend core values of humanities purpose.
My critique comes to what and how is taught in humanities in Slovakia and what are the driving factors for someone to study them – mostly it is easy study.
Despite this I think that humanities are important and even engineers should study them in some form.
