It is hard to demand something from someone if you do not do it yourself. It is even mentioned in the Bible. “Preaching Water But Drinking Wine”.
Do you want your employees to fill out work logs? Also do it yourself. Do you want them to create tickets in Jira and track progress there? Do it too. You want them to work longer hours when needed? Work longer too.
There is nothing more demotivating for your employees than needing to follow rules, their boss does not follow.
